The Cortland County Bar Association was established on February 11, 1921.
The purpose for the association was described at that time as follows:
The Association is established for the purpose of cultivating the science of jurisprudence, promoting reforms in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, elevating the standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession, and cherishing the spirit of brotherhood among the members thereof.
These are eloquent words from 1921 that we hope to live up to.
