The Carrollwood Community Bar Association, Inc. was incorporated on February 2, 2000. The association is mainly composed of attorneys whose offices are in Northwest Hillsborough County. There is a category of Affiliate members which consists of attorneys who may reside in the area but practice elsewhere, and non-attorney individuals and businesses which support the association's goals and objectives.
The association was founded by Brian L. Weakland, who served as its first president. Joseph Bodiford and Martin A. Bubley served as presidents in 2001; Mary Lynne Duet in 2002; Joseph Kalish in 2003; Randall O. Reder 2004. Daniel Saxe 2005; Paul E. Riffel 2006; James B Loper 2007; Claire Saady 2008.
The association conducts an annual clinic during law week where members have offered free legal consultations to the public. These consultations are held at a local public library. The association has also co-sponsored with the Carrollwood Area Business Association a candidates' night, at which the candidates for the local offices give presentations and answer questions from the general public.
