The California Applicants’ Attorneys Association shall assist the injured employee in obtaining full and just benefits under the Workers’ Compensation laws of the State of California and of the United States and improve the advocacy, promote the skill and preserve the high standards of ethics of attorneys representing injured workers. Any attorney who is a member of the State Bar of California in good standing and of good moral character and represents injured workers before the WCAB is eligible for regular membership upon approval by the Board of Governors; providing such attorney is currently a nonrepresentative of insurance companies or self-insured employers in the defense of workers’ compensation cases.
