The Alameda County Bar Association (ACBA) was established in 1877 and has a membership of 2,200 attorneys, judges, law students, and other legal professionals. The ACBA administers numerous programs and activities to benefit attorneys and the community.
Mission
It is the mission of the Alameda County Bar Association:
- To promote the professional development, ethics, and civility in the practice of law
- To promote diversity in the legal community
- To promote civil rights and the fair and equitable administration of justice
- To improve access to legal services for residents of Alameda County
- To promote communication and cooperation among the bench, the bar and the community
